Goldsmith Avenue

This site is located in Hedgerow House on Goldsmith Avenue, close to Fratton train station.

Our setting at Hedgerow House offers a home from home environment. Set in a large house in Southsea we have a view of the local park and neighbourhood that the children enjoy watching from the upstairs window.

Being located on Goldsmith Avenue we are only a short walk away from the beach, Canoe Lake, the local library, and both Milton Park and Bransbury Park.

Our younger children enjoy daily walks around the local neighbourhood visiting the parks, whilst our older children get to explore the outdoors within our 2 garden’s. Our toddler group have the full space of our enclosed front garden whilst our pre-school have free flow of our back garden.

Our back garden is made up of all 7 areas of learning and gives children the opportunity to take their learning outdoors, with mud kitchens, bikes and scooters, large construction materials, as well as our planting area and bug hotel.

When our children join the pre-school group we do a nativity at our local church for our parents to come and watch.

Our children enjoy getting involved in making snacks and baking special treats to take home for their families.

We celebrate a range of festivities and events at nursery from cultural celebrations, to world book day, and charity events. The children have the chance to get involved in learning activities, fundraising activities and dressing up days.

We pride ourselves in parent partnership, and work closely with our parents and families to provide the best for each child in our setting.
